Five beautiful helmets from part of my Italian collectionAttention!!! Metal heads, lid lovers and steel pot pirates from around the world, Hear ye, hear ye!!!They don't call it "advanced congestive heart success". They call it "advanced congestive heart failure and sadly, I was diagnosed with it one year ago. I checked my magic eight ball and it said, "Outlook not good". So, for the sake of being practical I've got to start the liquidation. My wife and two kids have no interest in... my hobby and will more than likely get pennies on the dollar if I don't do anything now and just I drop dead.If you've been following my listings you know that I've been putting up five to ten random ones each week. This week I bring five stellar gems straight from the boot.This one is;Italian Post WWII - US WWII Occupation M1 Helmet w/ Westinghouse LinerThis helmet appears to be un-issued. The liner is damn near pristine. Made by Westinghouse it also has the CaPac tag under the varnish. You know what I mean.Front seam, swivel bales with sewn on chinstraps. This one is Tit's MaGee. In 1992 I meet a dealer at the Amityville Legion Hall gun show on Long Island, New York. He was a primarily a German militaria dealer whose personal interest was in Italian helmets. Graciously, over the course of the next three years, his failing health had him selling most of his collection to me as he knew they would get a good home. Eventually you will see all of these listed. The last photo in the group is a partial family photo from our last reunion. It only shows some of the family but I've included it because it was such a lovely day.
