This is a wonderful antique Victorian 9ct Gold bracelet. I have tested the Gold, which tests positive for at least 9ct, and the stones test positive for Quartz(also called Rock Crystal). It has a very pretty design, with 7 large graduated linked settings, that hold amazing round domed smooth Rock Crystal stones. These are refered to as 'pools of light', due to the beautiful bright glow you get from them. They have some interesting properties, held against the skin they act a...s a good magnifying glass, but if you try to look into the distance through them, you can't you just get a sort of frosted blur. They have a slide in clasp. It is in excellent condition. The only thing I would point out is that 5 of the links that held the settings together were missing, and I have had to replace them, and I did not have Gold ones, so they are Gold plated. So, if you are buying it to sell on, you may wish to replace them with real Gold, but if you are buying it to wear, this wouldn't be a problem. It measures 7 inches across, and the centre stone is 1 inch across. Most jewellery items come in new black cardboard or plastic jewellery boxes, with white wadding, and bubble wrap, for extra safety. These are then sent in jiffy bags, so all items should be very secure. The only exceptions to this are more delicate items, glass, china etc., that need added protection. These are sent in solid jewellery boxes, sometimes used, but always in very good condition. If you want an item for a present, and need a special box, do let me know, as I can normally find something appropriate to send it in. My standard UK postal charge of £2.20 covers the cost of postage, box, jiffy bag, bubble wrap etc. I am having to revise my postage rates for International Postage, as Royal Mail increased the rates from April 2014, but do remember, as always, I am happy to combine postage on any items that are paid for at the same time.
