Early Maple Syrup Tin THE C.S. MOREY MERCANTILE CO. DENVER COLORADO BATAVIA 1880. Wow, What a historical piece! about 95% of its original label, this one really has it all! Probably dating to the late 1880s and in very good condition for its age. This piece was found under an old house not too long ago! I have never seen anything like this, the guarantee on the back says, “We guarantee this Syrup to be strictly pure, and that it is boiled from the sap of the Rock Maple. We will give ...ONE DOLLAR in GOLD for every ounce of adulteration found in it.” The bottom has a patent date of May 17, 1887. Made by the Norton Bros. The tin itself is in excellent shape with no dents or holes. Measures about 8” tall and 5” wide! Please feel free to email with questions?
