A note on IDENTIFICATION of rare species: unless stated otherwise, identifications of species are based on mine or my source?s visualinspection of the specimen. A knowledgeable collector with a good photolibrary and a good microscope can do amazingly well at speciesidentification, but there is always a chance they are wrong. Even if aspecimen has been analyzed by EDS there still may be some uncertainty. I willtry to note when there is significant uncertainty with the ID of aspecies. If you think one of my IDs is wrong, please let me know and I will look into it further!
