7 Antique Insulators4 Hemingray (glass) 1 Petticoat / H. G. Co. (glass)1 McLaughlin (glass) 1 Unknown (porcelain)
These antique insulators are Hemingray-9 (3 count); Hemingray-20; McLaughlin-9; and Petticoat/H.G. Co. (not numbered). The other one is a small unidentified porcelain insulator. All of the glass insulators are dated "Patented May 2, 1893" except for the McLaughlin one. Some of the these glass insulators are filled... with bubbles, but others have only one or a few. There are also streaks and other manufacturing irregularities characteristic of that period. Condition: The McLaughlin insulator is in the best condition with only a few minor abrasions on the base and rust residue from the steel clip holding the copper wire onto the insulator. The next best are two of the Hemingray-9 insulators that are very much like the condition of the McLaughlin which I just described. The other Hemingray-9 has a chip in the base that is 3/4" x 3/4". The Hemingray-20 has several smaller chips along the base and a few other abrasions. The Petticoat insulator has several small chips along the base.
