Antique Edwardian buttery soft silk velvet textile fragment with a cotton base. Its pile is very tight and close to the surface and has a high silk fiber content. Salvaged from an early 1900s garment. Photos depicted are pretty true to what it is in person and have been taken without a flash to show its true texture. A very scarce color to come by. From my personal collection. Suitable for doll clothing, i.e., bodice, embellishment of jacket (cuffs, collar..., hat), quilting, etc. A wonderful textile for the collector.
