I AM ALSO LISTING ANOTHER SHAWL, SO PLEASE LOOK AT THAT AS WELL.A superb large antique Victorian silk hand embroidered Cantonese/Chinese piano shawl.An fantastic turquoise silk which is densely hand embroidered with a light cream silk floral design.The overall look is so dramatic.I have photographed it on a double b...ed and as you can see, it completely covers it.The silk panel measures 64 inches (162.5 cm) by 61 inches (155 cm).The knotted border and fringes are 18 inches long (46 cm).CONDITION.There are no holes, tears, repairs or dark stains. There are a few light marks (See photo for the most obvious one). They will not show when worn.No damage to the fringing. In one area, some of the fringing is a bit lighter. Again this is not easy to see, so I’m only mentioning it for accuracy.It looks wonderful worn but could also be used for display or as a throw or bedcover.It is heavy which is reflected in the postage costs below.
