WWII WW2 USMC Korean War Named M1 Helmet Swivel Bail
Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:15775537 | Featured Refinements: M1 Helmet |
I’m selling this Korean War USMC M1 helmet, liner and 3rd pattern cover named to Richard Strepek. The shell and liner were put together for display, but the cover is a salty combat used piece. The shell is a rear seam, swivel bail, but in amazing condition. No dents or cracks. The liner is a CAPAC and also in used but good shape. The cover is extremely worn in and has been worn on most of the edges. I will no...t take it off the helmet for photos. There is no EGA on the cover and you can see his name and service number on both sides. Below is information on the vet from ancestry. Please ask any questions and I’ll provide additional pics if asked. US sales only. Please see pictures for details. No reserve.
Richard Strepek was with E BTRY 2ND BN 11th Marines and deployed to Korea in July 1951. I have the muster roles from his unit and it looks like he was forward deployed (front lines) at the time.
