for sale is this fantastic 1944 dated British made ETO jacket for a Pilot Major in the USAAF with prior service in the RAF. Badges are all original to the jacket and the wear on the two separate bars is all but identical. Badges top to bottom are Irvin parachute badge (similar to the goldfish club/caterpillar club) this one is for bailing out of an aircraft with an Irvin parachute. Below that is a very solid (and heavy) pilots wings, under that is his American bar consisting of DFC wit...h cluster, AM with 3 clusters, ETO with 2 clusters, below that is his RAF bar consisting of 39 star, air crew Europe star with rosette, defence medal and war medal.all in all a very rare jacket for one of the few Americans to fight with the RAF and then transfer back to the USAAF and continue flying
