Vintage Hand Appliqued & Embroidered Sunbonnet Sue Quilt size 86x67. Not sure of the age of this vintage Quilt I know that Sun Bonnet Sue was a figure who has been around since the 1800’s but her pattern on quilts became popular around 1930's-40’s. The material of the Sue’s dresses are definitely vintage. I love the hand embroidery work that make up each Sue! The time and care the maker put into each Sue is precious! Just look at her cute lil socks, adorable!(Please see photos) T...here’s a total of 12 hand appliquéd Sues on the quilt and each one has been embroidered on a 16”x 16” white square background. The quilt measures about 86 inches by 67 inches. This is a good size Quilt, will even sit nicely on a Full size bed. The stitching is very good. There is some wear, the top edge is frayed and slightly faded from use. There is some very small holes, as well as a few tiny stains All flaws are in photos (Please see photos for details) I source all my items from Estate Sales & Thrift Stores.
