This is a gorgeous vintage cathedral window with two matching accent pillows that has been handstitched. The fabric used for the windows is a lovely floral print in creamy yellow, blue, pink and green. The solid fabric accent along the quilt edges is a Williamsburg blue. The reverse side appears to be medium weight cream colored cotton muslin. This is a heavier type of quilt because of the style and the amount of fabric used. It could be used on a single, or possibly a full size bed if... a dust ruffle/bed skirt is used. It measures 97 x 77" and is shown on my queen size bed. The matching 15" square accent pillows are in great condition. The floral ruffle measures 2.75" and the blue ruffle 3.5". The "window size of both the quilt and pillows is 4". This truly is a beautiful set!
Cathedral window quilts are really works of art and usually involve hundreds of hours. Vintage ones are becoming increasingly harder to find. This quilt is in excellent condition. I could not find any holes or damage. The only minor issue that I spotted was one very small discoloration on the reverse side which does not show through to the top (see last photo). The quilt was only used on a bed for a short period of time and has been in storage in a smoke-free home. It doesn't appear to have been laundered before. Both the quilt and matching pillows are in great condition. I do my best to be as honest and accurate in descriptions. If I miss anything, it is not intentional. As with most vintage items, they are not perfect and show wear over time. That is one of the reasons that they are so endearing!
