I sold a large circular Veil/train piece of lace from a Victorian Wedding gown about 6 months ago that would attach at the back and basically circle the bride, it was huge, it was the same design that this lot is, evidently these are leftovers from when they made that piece, that I just found. All handmade, these are fragments, I'm not sure, but are the appliques on the netting princess lace, needle lace??, sadly all the netting is fragile and will tear easily if tugge...d, however the appliques of flowers and vinery all hand stitched onto the netting are still strong and could be used, as well as the bits and pieces of I believe bobbin /cluny edging type lace. There is one huge piece of netting covered with the appliques/vinery, cream in color, which I showed in its entirety in photos 3, 4, 5, 6, & 7, you can see the width which is about 26 to 29", one end is a bit longer at around 39", one a bit shorter as shown with a tape measure. The length of this piece is a little over 2 yards long, there are at least 16 full appliques on this piece, meaning with a flower and vinery, then there are several more appliques that are just vinery with the flower having been cut off. Then there are six other smaller pieces which I have shown with a tape measure in inches for reference of size. All pieces are in wonderful condition in my opinion, the netting is fragile though with a few stains. Perhaps a couple of small light stains on the appliques, with one leaf having a dark stain which could be replaced with a leaf from the edge, a wee musty from age/storage. Lots here for Rework, Salvage, Repurpose !!
