Please email with any questions. Antique "Diagonal Strip" pattern patchwork quilt top, 75" by 91" including binding edge fabric. Each square measures 4" and has five diagonal strips. The material is machine sewn and on the reverse side are remnants of newspaper-weight paper caught in the stitches. Maybe it was some method for keeping the squares square and evenly sized. The fabrics include ginghams and calicos, there are a few strips of black and navy polished cotton or muslin. Ma...ny of the patterned material looks like Victorian dress prints. No nasty odors and the stitching is good. There are some brown stains here and there. This would make a very festive tablecloth or tree skirt or would be a fun project to quilt and complete more than 100 years after it was started.
