He already hasover 50 paintings to his name and loves his work. Lon is a Haida graphics artist that has beendoing Haida art since the end of 2012. At that time, he decided he needed tochange the direction of his life. This ...is when he started learning about hisfamily from Haida Gwaii. He researched Haida art and learned the basic forms. Then he started playing with his designs and developed his own style. Thatstyle has evolved and continues to evolve the more he does. He has tried tostay traditional, and has for the most part, but he feels that to grow as anartist he also must be open to change. As he continues on this new path, hewill be trying new things and learn more about his tradition. Mostly he is selftaught but he was also initially taught by George Hunt Jr., a member of theKwakiulth First Nation, back in the '80's. I hope you enjoy his designs andfollow his journey of discovery in the world of Haida art. Very vibrant, alive, powerful and traditionalMeasurements: 14" x 11" (36x 28 cm)Meaning: Raven: The raventeaches us about life and right from wrong.
