                                                    PRETTY DIAMOND AND RUBY SET 9CT WHITE GOLD DOUBLE SWALLOW STICKPIN CIRCA 1880
A VERY PRETTY DIAMOND AND RUBY SET STICKPIN IN 9CT WHITE GOLD UNMARKED BUT TESTED CIRCA 1880.
THE HEAD OF THE PIN IS IN THE... SHAPE OF TWO SWALLOWS IN FLIGHT MEETING TOGETHER , LIKE ALL THINGS VICTORIAN THIS I BELIEVE TO HAVE THE MEANING OF TRUE LOVE. BOTH THE SWALLOWS ARE SET WITH A RUBY EYE AND THE BODIES SET WITH A TOTAL OF 10 BRILLIANT OLD CUT DIAMONDS FULL OF LIFE AND SPARKLE.
THIS PIN MEASURES 32MM ACROSS  BY 12MM DOWN AND TOTAL LENGTH OF 6CM AND WEIGHT OF 2.8 GRAMS.
THE CONDITION IS EXCELLENT NO DAMAGE A LOVELY EXAMPLE BUT I AM AFRAID I CANNOT DO THIS ITEM JUSTICE WITH MY CAMERA IT LOOKS ALOT BETTER TO THE EYE.
