Original Description:
This African Mangbetu tribal Domu/harp has a wood sound board covered with leather. The shaft/neck is ox horn and has wood tuning pegs that work great!  The strings are of fibrous material and the front of resonator/sound box has one sounding hole on top, animal hair/horse hair decoration on end and a braided leather holding strap which allows the instrument to be hung.  The age of the leather and bindings tends to make this a late 18th-to early 19th century piece.A perfect a...nd unique statement piece!Measurements: Resonator is 5"w x 6"L x 2.75"H.  The arm/horn is 13"L x 10" H x .5"W widening to 4" where it meets the resonator.Questions, please ask.  Thank youfor viewing and please look at my other items up for your consideration.I will combine shipments on most items.Thank you and have a great day!Any item not paid within 48 hours willbe relisted.
