Vintage Mid 20thC Inuit Soapstone Owl Carving Sculpture Signed B.J. & Original Label
Up for bids is this Vintage Mid 20thC Inuit Soapstone Carving Sculpture Signed B.J. & Original Label. Measuring 2 3/4" high x 3" wide. This gray color soapstone owl carving has very nice details. It has a wooden peg that holds the owl into the base securely. There is the original label on the underside of the owl, eskimo art, canadian. On the underside of t...he base the carvers intials B.I. and E 9124 can be seen.
Condition: No other chips, cracks or repairs. The beak has a tiny chip on one side, see photo # 7. Enlarge photos to see details.
