Vintage hooked rug possibly depicting someone's beloved spaniel dog. 45 1/2 "L by 22"W. This rug has been mounted on a wood frame, and attached to some type of white plastic, please see photos. The frame itself is 1" wide. This has a wire for hanging.
This rug is in very good condition. There are a few wool strips exposed. And some of the black areas seem to be fraying a bit but not bad. This is hard to see in the photos. I have not re...moved the rug from the backing, so I am not sure what the back of the rug is like. The rug was attached to the backing using some of the wool strips used in the rug. See photo seven. This may have caused small holes in the rug, that are very hard to see.
There doesn't seem to be any wear marks on the rug. Again, in good condition. Great addition to an antique rug or textile collection.Please contact me with questions. Thanks for looking!
