Seller: Alley-Antiques DESCRIPTION: Rare Museum quality 18th Century Porcelain Cream Jug or Cream Pitcher. This was made in the Netherlands by Oude Amstel. Amstel pieces are top quality 18th Century porcelain and highly collected. Oude Amstel dates around 1784-1800. Marked on the bottom Amstel in underglaze blue. Incredible detailed hand painted scenes on both sides of a shepherd and cows. Gold gilding around the top rim, base and handle. Small hand painted flowers. Oude Amstel piece...s of this quality do not come up for sale often. Antique. Over 200 years old. Very good to excellent condition for age. No chips, cracks, or repairs. Beautifully painted. Nice and clean with very little if any wear. Fabulous example. Small measures almost 5" tall. Item will be double boxed for shipping. Shipping includes insurance and tracking.
