Recent find I have no history on this item. Yellow appears to be it's original color - not painted. It had a face shield which I removed that left a few marks along the bottom edge of hat. The liner is in so the hat can be worn with the bill over the neck. I have not used or cleaned this item it is being offered in "as is / as found" condition as seen in the photos.
