When you wind up toy the propellers turn and the wire starts spinning then you add one ball at a time to the spiral and the ball will reach the top and slide down to start the process over again. Some times you have to adjust to keep it flowing. minimal scratches paint is shiny. comes with two balls and original box. Approximate 12 inches tall. From the 50s. Not sure but I think it was made in Germany.
