This listing is for a C.G. Conn cornet that I believe to be a “Wonder” model. I am by no means a professional on instruments, but I will do my best to provide an accurate and thorough description of this item. Overall this cornet shows nicely for an instrument from the late 1800's. There is obviously some wear and tear. T...he bell has a few blemishes as pictured. The slides were easy to remove, as were the valves. The serial number shows 23142 on the body of the instrument as well as on the valves. Please notice that a few of the smaller pipes have been damaged. I am not sure if these pieces are repairable. There are also a few small dents on the mute. The valves return easily when pressed. The instrument case appears to be original and features a nice rounded shape. There is a date on the latch of 1875. There is no key included.
