Beautiful 9ct Gold & Platinum Antique Ring set with a Marquise Shaped Synthetic Sapphire and Diamonds
A lovely example of a beautiful Art Deco ring.
This ring really is the most beautiful piece of jewellery in every way.
The setting is a traditional Art Deco design, with a Platinum gallery setting and shoulders.
The Sapphire was thought to be a natural gemstone and looks exactly like a natural Sapphire but after testing, we were su...rprised that this stone was synthetic.
Synthetic gemstones are man made but are genuine Sapphires made in a laboratory using the same conditions that a natural Sapphire would be created and as such, hold their value.
This is a particularly lovely gemstones with a royal blue lustre and beautiful faceting.
Small round Diamonds are set into the Platinum of the shoulders making this ring a really gorgeous piece of antique jewellery.
Central Sapphire measures 13.2 x 5.6mmShoulder width where the shoulder meets the head is 5.08mmThe shoulder tapers down to the back of the shank which measures 4.75mm
The ring could still tolerate being re sized a little up or down.
We have checked the setting of the ring and have re-tipped the claws where necessary before offering it for sale. The ring comes to you cleaned, polished and sparkling.
This ring weighs 1.8 grams.
