Healy & Bigelow Kickapoo Sagwa Indian Medicine Co. Amber Glass Bottle.
I can just picture a snake oil salesman peddling this amazing cure all in the 1800's during a traveling medicine show. Up on his soap box in front of a skeptical audience rambling on how this new wonder medicine will give quick relief to a sluggish liver, sick headache, sour stomach, loss of appetite, constipation and a few other things I'm sure.Condition is very good with no cracks or ch...ips to the amber glass. Some air bubbles in glass. Paper labels on both sides of the bottle are intact. They each have some light loss and staining as shown. Nothing major. Side panels are impressed and are embossed Kickapoo Sagwa, Kickapoo Indian Medicine Co. Bottom is embossed Crownford China Co Inc. Measures 9 inches tall, x 2 7/8" wide x 1 3/4"deep.
Most likely a reproduction but would certainly display very well in any apothecary collection. Missing cork and has no box. Sold as is where is.
