Very likely original Shaker, but I am unable to be 100% positive. It has the earmarks of a Shaker with the pencil markings, the ladder back slats, peg construction, use of some lower quality wood pieces (sturdy, but with some visual defects), and overall construction and design. Acorn finials suggest New York Shaker manufacture. The rush seat appears to be original and it is in good condition and will bear weight with no issue.Dark wood tone and antique patina, possibly an old refinis...hing coat. The chair is about 37" high at the back and the seat is about 17" across in the front and about 14" front to back. Seat is about 14" above the floor. The chair is in very good solid condition with normal wear and tear.Local pick-up available to save on shipping.
