He began in 1931 to reestablish a silver ...industry in Taxco after the revolution in Mexico. Taxco was a traditional site of silver mines but it did not have a silverworking industry. He was insistent on high quality of materials and production techniques. After 1938, he expanded his business into a wholesale business.
This bracelet is dated based on the markings used before 1938. The mark on this bracelet was used between 1933-1938. This was also before products began to be mass produced.
This bracelet is 1" wide. It measures at approx 7" and it has a safety chain. It weighs a substantial 87.84g. This bracelet is in very good-excellent condition. It has 4 scrollwork links that are about 1 1/4" wide at the top. Alternating with those links are narrower links that make the bracelet flex easily around a wrist. The bracelet closes with a pin that can be seen in the photos. When the bracelet is closed, the pattern of narrow link followed by a wider link is uninterrupted.
if you love silver and appreciate history and superior craftsmanship, you will love this bracelet. In my research, I have seen a suggested retail of $3, 750.00 and asks of $1, 500.00. When I ship this item it will be insured.
