This extremely lovely set of dining chairs is in the classically beautiful American Victorian style. Each chair is made of hand-shaped walnut, then assembled by hand. They all possess the traditional single splat backs, with a hard carved floral design along the crest rail. The legs are done in the more simplistic saber style, with squared off stretchers between. The wine-colored corduroy velvet upholstery is original to the chairs and is in absolutely amazing condition. Overall, this ...set is in great shape, with only a few minor signs of aging - some of the bottoms of the chair seats show more cosmetic damage and there is some scuffing along the base of the chairs' feet.
