Larkin rocking chair made by the Larkin Company, suspected age 1920's when Larkin Company was at it's height of buyer popularity - the design was from the early 1900's.
The Larkin company was founded in 1875 as a catalog business and by 1912 was second only to Sears. The company was sold in 1941 & liquidated in 1942. The company who purchased Larkin did continue mail order service on some items thru 1962.

This press back design is tricky to currently find. The cane seat is original. It was appraised by a local antiques dealer to be valued at 800.00. Time to find it a new home.
