Original Description:
This is a beer stein depicting thelegend of the Loreley, a mythical femalewho lured unwary fishermen to their death by singing the most beautiful songthey had ever heard.   The Loreley rock rises 120 meters above thewaterline and marks the narrowest and fastest flowing section of the RhineRiver. The stoneware is embossed with alogo and ORIGINAL THEWALT and Made in Germany.  THEWALT is a storied and the oldest Germanbeer stein maker.  It is approximately10�...�” tall and 3¼” diameter at the base.  The solid pewter lid is marked Zinn.  There is no volume embossed on the base; but it is ½ liter size.  Alsoincluded is paperwork describing the legend.  Relist As can be seen from the photos(which are a part of the item description) it is in mint condition and wasnever used, being on display only at the home of the original purchaser - whenhe was in Germany.  It was donated by hisestate to a charity thrift shop at which I do volunteer work, including sellingon eBay those items which would not readily attract in-store buyers.
