Description/Interesting Notes: A gorgeous example of gaudefroyite and andradite with calcite from South Africa!!! This specimen hosts a showy displayof intergrown, prismatic, jet-black gaudefroyite crystals aesthetically paired with intense red andradite garnets!!! The an...dradite garnet crystals are particularly colorful and exhibit marked translucence as well!!! Upon close study some of the larger, complex andradite crystals almost look like raspberries!!! There is also a complex group of calcite crystals in association as well!!! This specimen is in magnificent condition all around and displays stunningly in person!!! This specimen retains an old label from Mike Groben as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
