I am mystified as to what this piece belonged to: It dates from the middle to late 1800’s and is carved of European walnut (or similar) and measures 18” x 12” x 1” deep with 5 5/8” x 15” opening in the middle. Tack marks suggest the center was upholstered many years ago and the hand cut tenons at one end tell you there was another piece. The bottom features a goat eating tobacco (?) leaves and the sides feature dead foul, rabbits and game pouches with leaves, guns and belts... and bowknots. Each side (lower) has losses that have been sanded but not stained. In any event, this fragment is very decorative and will work nicely in any lodge or Black Forest collection.WE ARE ALWAYS HAPPY TO SHIP WORLDWIDE IF ALLOWED BY USPS.
