Description/Interesting Notes: An absolutely extraordinary example of cuprite from Tsumeb!!! This specimen is one of the best examples of cuprite from Tsumeb that I have seen in some time!!! This specimen hosts numerous, prominent, octahedral crystals of deep red cuprite aesthetically scattered across the matrix!!! The cuprite crystals exhibit razor-sharp faces,... glassy luster, and terrific translucence!!! The cuprite crystals range in size up to 7mm!!! With even modest lighting the crystals light up and show their intense, deep red color within!!! There is a small amount of fibrous malachite in association and some microcrystals of an unidentified lime greenish colored mineral present as well!!! This specimen is complete and undamaged all around!!! Truly a superb, competition or illustration worthy beauty!!! If I had a collection I would be keeping this one for myself!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
