My wife and I just got back from our Las Vegas adventure and have quite a few $25 match play chips from The D and The Golden Gate on Fremont Street. As far as I can tell, these co-owned casinos (owned by Derek Stevens) are the only casinos that issue $25 match play chips that never expire.The other casinos offering match play promotions give you a voucher to take to the table and they usually expire in about 72 hours.....but not these. We accumulated the chips from our Spir...it Airlines promotion, the Las Vegas Advisor and the American Casino Guide. We are pretty squeamish about $25 bets....hence the cheapskate downtown stays. We know these chips are popular with bigger betters and are putting all of them up for sale in individual auctions. I have four pink chips from the LVA/ACG promotion and six blue chips from the Spirit Airlines promotion. You can certainly have your pick if it makes a difference to you and a certain color is still available. YOU ARE BIDDING ON ONE CHIP.This auction is for a $25 match play chip from THE D CASINO on Fremont Street. I know some folks collect these attractive chips and whether you collect them or play them, please remember they have no cash value. You can take the chip to any table game that offers even money bets. Clearly, the Blackjack tables is where most of these chips show up, but you can also play an even money bet at the roulette table (odd/even, red black, 1-18 or 19-36) and probably technically at the Craps table on a pass line or field bet....though I have never seen one played at the Craps table.You need to tell the dealer you are playing your match play chip and place the chip above your $25 bet. Using Blackjack, if you win the hand, you will be paid on your $25 bet and your $25 match play chip will be replaced with a $25 green chip. Pushes play again. If you lose the hand or bet, you lose your $25 bet and the match play chip.The latest trend on blackjacks is to pay the 3-2 on your actual bet and $25 on the match play bet......although the Plaza will pay 3-2 on both your bet and your match play…..got lucky with that last year. I am not sure if you can play multiple chips in one hand....but we did play eight match play chip s last year at The D and they just wished us the best of luck. If you want to double down on a match play bet, you can double for less or double with all the way up to $50.00.Are the rules subject to change? I am sure they are....so please call the casino first before bidding to ask any questions. However, we have been playing these and offering most here on eBay for the past 5 years.....no changes that I am aware of. I can't imagine that these chips will expire anytime soon, but I will guarantee that they will be honored through the end of 2020.....after that, you are on your own.Any questions? Just let me know.
