This precious little Kestner doll is in perfect condition, no chips, cracks or restoration. She is marked on the back: 329, 19. Kestner made these little dolls much like their Wrestler doll with the same chunky body and muscular legs. These dolls came with molded shoes with bows instead of boots. If you look in reference materials you will sometimes find these dolls along side the Wrestler doll. This doll is beautifully painted with set glass eyes and an open mouth ...with four teeth. She has her original human hair wig that is still attached to the cardboard pate. The wig is not attached to the head and is simply pinned into the tissue paper stuffing in the head. This was done to keep the wig from falling off. I don't know if the wig was always a short bob or if someone gave her a hair cut in the past. It suits her being short and I think it is in keeping with the times back then. Her clothing has been replaced and is a copy of clothes seen on a Wrestler doll. It's made from antique fabrics and trims.
