Original Description:
Vintage Plumb Ames 12" hatchet.  Head is 4.5" poll to bit with a 3" bit heal to toe. Handle is very hard wood - likely hickory with a good swell knob.  Handle is well anchored to the head with only slight play - likely because it has dried out in mountain climate.  This is an estate find from Denver, Colorado.
