 This Premium quality Meteorite is loaded with Large Thumbprints and Regmaglypts covered with Jet Black Intact Fusion Crust. Filled with Deep, very large Thumbprints on all Sides. This is a 141 gram Premium, iron-nickel new Campo del Cielo meteorite from Argentina. It measures 2 inches across and weighs more than 1/3rd Pounds. This specimen is covered with many  Deep Regmaglypts & Thumbprints. There are many dimples, grooves, ridges, indentations and Deep Thumbprints on B...oth Sides (Very Rare), from its  ablative flight through the upper atmosphere. These surface features represent softer parts of the meteorite that melted away from the heat of compressed air Facing toward impact. This specimen has a Rare, Beautiful ClassicMeteoric Sculpted Shape & Features of Hi Museum Quality found on less than 1% of all Campos. Only the Top Meteorites Look Great at every Angle and are loaded with Multiple Deep Thumbprints. Campos of this quality, loaded with so many deep thumbprints all over are very Hard to Find and they rarely come up for sale.Classified as a Group IAB Og polycrystalline, octahedrite, Campos were rediscovered by Spanish Conquistadors in 1576.  Structural Class: Octahedrite                                                                                                             History:   The first record of the Campo was in 1576. A Spanish governor learned of the iron from the Indians who reportedly believed that it had fallen from heaven. The governor sent an expedition to The location of the find which was the Campo del Cielo (Asteroid). Since the Indians believed that the irons fell from heaven the name may have come from the meteorites. The area is an open brush-covered, arid plain, little water, no rocks- Excellent Conditions for dry meteorites.     Origin:   Campo Meteorite Strewn Field 500 miles north of Buenos Aries, Argentina.
