These ads are from a Dr. Kilmer in Binghamton, NY. All of medical products that were of questionable use. He was selling swamp root, ocean-weed remedy and a female remedy. His elixirs claim to cure kidney, heart, and liver diseases.
All but one have been folded and placed in small envelopes since the 1890s. Then there is a small card.
First envelope with brown letterhead has a nice cover letter and a card with Dr. Kilmer.Second... envelope with green letterhead just has a letter stating that products are being sent.Third envelope with brown letterhead also has a sheet of music extolling Dr. Kilmer.Two envelops have different "Invalid's Benefit List" where you send Dr. Kilmer names of people that might benefit from his medicines.A 4 page brochure tells of Dr. Kilmer's medicines including one that cures consumption (tuberculosis). Lastly, a card advertising his Female Remedy which is said to cure just about any problems a lady may have.
