This is a lovely example of a German Naval Imperial Officer's Sword. It is mounted with a plain, unmarked blade that measures 32 inches in length which is heavily stained and in well used condition. The fabulous guard features a gorgeous detailed lion's head pommel with the mane serving as its backstrap and is adorned with various nautical designs. The guard face dons a crowned anchor cypher of Wilhelm along with a back folding guard that remains in good working order. The outstanding... carved bone hilt has survived in very healthy condition and with its original twisted wire wrap still tightly in place. Overall measuring 37 1/4 inches in length.
