This is a very impressive andhuge Spinosaurus hand claw! It’s a real specimen in good condition. Findingsuch a well preserved hand claw took me quite a long time but as I am changingthe focus of my collection I am now offering it for sale. The preservationlevel of the claw is good. As is the case with most Spinosaurid fossil claws fromthe Kem Kem it has some fractures that were glued together. Something verynoteworthy about this specimen is the beautiful blood vessel structure on man...yparts of the claw (see the close up pics). Also, in many places it can be seenthat the bone structure follows the curve of the claw, which is good evidencethat this bone structure is genuine claw bone and not fake bone. This specimenis not a top end one but has an acceptable level of repairs. All this isreflected in the very reasonable price for a hand claw in such condition. A top end claw starts roughlyat 2, 000 Dollars with no limit upwards. I have seen many fake claws, some withprice tags of 1, 000 Dollars and more. So here you have the chance to get a niceone. Two of the pictures I have taken with UV light, which helps highlight thestructure and condition of the claw. The size is 17.3cm (6.8 in)tip to end (20.5cm lateral line) and the weight is 146g (5.15 oz), The stand is includedThis claw wasexcavated in South Morocco near Taouz the Errachida Province. It is Cretaceous, Cenomanian stage from the Ifezouaneformation, the Red Sandstone Beds of the Kem Kem Basin dated at around95 Million Years ago.
