For someone who enjoys collecting only the rarest of rare toys, I have this car to offer you. And for those few uninformed, I will start by saying that Schuco actually made the toy this way, with the head inspired by Salvador Dali. I do not know why but, I have always assumed that the production line ran out of the female driver's head, and switched to the male to complete an order. I have had 4 of this particular version of Texi. I sold 2 here on eBay over 10 years ago. One for a fixe...d price of $1500 USD, and one on auction that sold for just over $2700 USD. I was floored, I couldn't believe it. I was paid right away, and shipped the car to a collector in Germany. I have a red Texi with the male driver that is not for sale at this time, (maybe later) and that leads me to today's listing. This toy also comes with it's original box. A super rare piece of cardboard that has the factory added, Dalli sticker placed on it. Some boxes had the sticker placed on the top's end panel. Some were placed to cover the female's head, and some stickers were placed in a corner, such as this one. Also, some boxes had no sticker at all. Try as I might, I cannot see any signs of this toy ever having been played with. And that's a shame, for this is a cool toy to watch in action, especially when in automatic mode. Whenever you do put the car in automatic mode, it will move forward then stop. The driver will shift into reverse while turning his head to the side while backing up. Then the driver faces forward while simultaneously shifting into a forward gear. A very ingenious toy made with German precision. So then, back toy the car itself. Nothing to report, it's flawless. Also included besides the original box, is the original Schuco #3 key, 2 wooden pylons, remote steering controller with cable, and the very hard to find color instruction sheet. The box is in very good condition...
