Small Size Camping or Hunting Hatchet
Early to Mid 19th Century
Shows Good workmanship. Appears that a piece of 1/4" x 1-1/2"Was folded over on itself to form eye, and then a small rectangular
piece forge welded on to form a square poll.
Nice handmade handle.
Head of axe is 4-1/2" x 2-1/2" blade edge Handle is 14" Long
