The clock features a glass panel on either side and one to the front with the case. The case is a great and unusual design with turned pillar supports and beveled case. On top there is a beveled handle and the clock has a hinged pivot back door to gain access to the movementThe Clock Measures - 6.75 inches high with handle raised x 3.75 inches wide x 3 inches deepDialThe timepiece has a classical carriage clock enamel dial with Roman numerals. This is a out standing antique French ornate carp fish designed bronze mantel clock which is in great condition for age. The clock features an amazing design with a carved pillars designed as fish holding the drum head movment with carry handles and a ornate finial top. The design is fantastic and very effective with it displaying beautifully especially with the original patina finish to the original ormolu bronze.
The Clock Measures - 15.5 inches high x 11 inches wide x 6.25 inches deep
Dial
The clock has a 3.25 inch diameter silvered and bronze dial which has roman cartouch numerals on the embossed bronze plate to the centre. The dial is in excellent condition and is protected by its glazed brass bezel
Movement
The movement is a high quality French 8 day bell striking movement which strikes on the half past and on the hours, the movement is in full working order keeping time with its French pendulum and comes with a winding key, the movement dates to around circa 1870
