100% genuine signature of WWI Medal of Honor recipient CGM Oscar Schmidt, Jr., USN (1896-1973). On October 9, 1918, while a crew member on USS Chestnut Hill (ID-2526), he assisted in the rescue of crewmen from the burning sub chaser USS SC-219 following a gasoline explosion.100% authentic. Card is in nice condition with no damage. Personally signed by Schmidt in ballpoint pen. Piece shows some toning and age with gentle fading to the ink.
