The clock features a superb large drum head design which has a fantastic display look to it, the clock has a beautiful sheen to the case and a fantastic display look but as you can see in the pictures the finish has some age wear to it and the one end panel is missingThe clock has a fantastic look to it and very impressive proportions, i have photographed it next to a standard carriage clock so that you can get some concept on its sizeThe Clock Measures - 15 inches high x 28 inches wide x 8 inches deepDialThe clock has a 6.25 inch diameter slate and red marble dial which has gilt roman numerals and its original brass moon hands, the dial is in great condition for age and is protected by the glazed brass bezelMovementThe movement is a high quality French 8 day bell striking movement with a dead beat escapement and jewelled pallets, the movement strikes on the half past and on the hours and is in full working order keeping time with its french heavy bob pendulum and comes with a winding keyCondition ReportThis clock is in good condition but has a end panel missing and some age discrepancies, please have a good look over the many Pictures I have provided which can help with any further item description. This is a very impressive antique French classical drumhead mantel clock which has a black slate & red marble case and huge proportions.
