Antique 18th C. Caughley (Salopian) Porcelain Coffee Cup, "Temple" Pattern, c. 1780 - 1785. This very attractive coffee cup is a very early blue and white transfer example with an applied handle. The pattern is illustrated in "Godden's Caughley and Worcester Porcelain", plate 16. This has a very attractive flared rim with fluting to the body of the cup. I believe that this is called "Royal Fluting". There is just a printed "X" on the bottom of the cup.
