Offering for your consideration is this beautiful Satsuma hand-painted large ginger jar or urn with lid in shades of green, red, blue and gold on the Satsuma distinctive creamy beige crackled glazed base. This jar features grapes, leaves and vines with gold accents. The item is 12" high when measured with lid and not quite 9.5' without lid. The lid IS NOT snug fitting. The jar is nearly 9' diameter. Jar is free of nicks, chips, cracks, stains or repa...irs. There is some dark streaks and areas on the jar which I believe to be part of the finish for the purpose of adding an aged appearance. It has been there as long as I can remember.
