Original Description:
This Lincoln Log set No. 1A contains all 51 log pieces, plus . . .   The roof with original seam, the   Design Book, well bound & good condition, 14 pgs. Copyright 1923, and the   Lincoln Logs Annual Building Competition information board.
The original box, 12" x 10 1/2" x 1 1/4", has a few torn corners, but is in pretty good shape for being 100 years old.

Designed and m...arketed by John Lloyd Wright, son of Frank Lloyd Wright, this historic playset was created at a time when Americans began to worry that urbanization and industrialization would harm the nation's character and values. The representation of humble beginnings, the reference to Honest Abe, and the frontier spirit of America made this playset popular then, and it has remained an American icon ever since.
