This naval appointment, signed by President Coolidge in 1925, appointed Otto C. Dowling a Captain in the Navy.
Partially printed Naval appointment signed: "Calvin Coolidge", 15x19¼ with paper 2¼-inch diameter Seal of the United States Nav...y affixed. 1925 August 22. This was an appointment, signed by President Coolidge, appointing Otto C. Dowling a Captain in the Navy. After losing an election for School Committee in 1905, COOLIDGE (1872-1933) never lost another one. He was Mayor of Northampton, Massachusetts (1910-1911), State Senator (1912-1915), Lieutenant Governor (1916-1918), Governor (1919-1920), vice president (1921-1923) and president (1923-1929). "Silent Cal, " as he was called for his economy of speech, succeeded to the Presidency upon the death of Warren Harding and won election to his own full term in 1924. Lightly toned, soiled and creased. Otherwise, fine condition.

Return Policy: If any substantial defect not described in the item listing is found by the purchaser, the item(s) must be returned within 3 days of receipt.
