This is a stunning antique french 8 day solid bronze ormolu mantel clock and probably one of the very finest i have ever had the pleasure to own, it has an amazing display look to it and is in excellent condition for age with original finish. The clock has a 8 day bell striking movement which is in full working order The case features a fantastic classical design with many pierced classical designs to the case with an urn top. The clock has superb original red silk material behind the pierced decorations which give it an awesome display look, all the embossed decorations are all of good quality and in excellent condition
The whole clock is in excellent condition for age all original finish with only very minimal age wear
The clock features a bronze ormolu and porcelain cartouche dial with roman numeral cartouches and original French hands with a beautiful hand gold gilt design to centre. The dial is in great condition for age with no damage only a tiny nick to the numeral 12 which is hardly noticable on display
The movement is also of high quality being an 8 day French bell striking movement which strikes the bell on the half and full hours counting the hours on the hour. The movement is in full working order keeping time and striking when it should as can be seen in the video above with its french pendulum and a new winding key The movement comes with a 6 months return to base warranty, please see full terms and conditions The clock measures 15.25 inches high x 8 inches wide x 4.5 Inches deep Maker: French Paris Made Circa: 1850 This is a perfect investment clock and a beautiful display piece. If on the rare occasion you receive a clock that has a problem or does not work after initial set up and adjusting by a professional person then we reserve the right for you to return the mechanism for repair by myself
There will be no refunds if the mechanism needs repair. I reserve the right for the mechanism to be returned to me for repair
I offer a 6 months return to base warranty on all my mechanisms (unless stated not working in description)
In case of a problem after a professional has attempted to set the clock up you can return the mechanism back to me for repair
Please do not take the mechanism to a local clock maker/repairer as this will render the warranty void. All repairs needed to the mechanism will be carried out by myself and not by a 3rd party clock maker/repairer unless agreed by myself beforehand. please contact me in the first instance to arrange return of the mechanism for repair by myself
Shipping the mechanism back to me will be at the buyers cost and i will pay to get the mechanism back to you after repair
