Beautiful 7” by 9” letter signed by then General Dwight Eisenhower. The letter is professionally matted in an 8” by 10” matte and, until recently, had been framed and under glass. The letter is dated 5/20/1951 and is to his close friend Loretta Edwards of Ann Arbor, MI. The Edwards family owned The Edwards Brothers Bookbinding Company. For many years this company was one of the largest bookbinding operations in America. The family lobbied to have the road in front of their buil...ding renamed “Dwight Eisenhower Parkway” in honor of their close friend. The letter is from Supreme Allied Headquarters in Europe where General Eisenhower was in charge of all European Allied Forces before he ran for President in 1952. Eisenhower had just resigned as President of Columbia University before taking this position. I will also send a 8” by 10” photo purchased from the Eisenhower Library.
